Export or delete your data

You own your data. PrepIEP gives you three controls — export, document delete, and account delete — all of them under Account → Privacy & Data.

Export everything

Tap Export my data. You'll receive a single JSON file containing your account profile, every uploaded IEP document (as PDFs in an attached zip), your Advisor conversation history, generated goals, and your Meeting Pack history. Exports are usable as input to other tools or for your own records.

Delete a single document

From the Documents tab, swipe a document or tap its overflow menu and pick Delete. The document is removed immediately and propagates to all backups within 30 days. Your Advisor history that references the document remains in your account, attributed to a now-deleted source — you can also delete those entries individually from the Advisor tab.

Delete your entire account

Tap Delete account. Confirm with your password. Your account, documents, Advisor history, goals, Meeting Packs, and subscription are all marked for deletion immediately. Deletion is permanent and propagates through backups within 30 days. We cannot restore a deleted account.

Stripe billing records

If you had a paid plan, your Stripe customer record is retained for 7 years to comply with U.S. tax and financial recordkeeping requirements. This contains your billing email, charge history, and country — not your IEP content. Per Privacy Policy §7.

The 90-day AI defensive record

Independent of account deletion, the rolling 90-day defensive record of your AI exchanges expires automatically. If you want to expedite that within the 90 days, email contact@prepiep.com and we'll process it within 45 days at no charge.

California, CCPA, and other privacy rights

California residents have additional rights (access, deletion, correction, portability, opt-out, and limitation of use of sensitive PI). The in-app controls above satisfy almost all of them; for anything else, email contact@prepiep.com. Per Privacy Policy §9.
